FSV Fysiek started on 09-09-2009 as a study association of the physiotherapy course at the Hanzehogeschool in Groningen. Fysiek consists of the Executive Board, 13 committees, one workgroup and 1500 members.
The mission of Fysiek is articulated as follows:
A. Promoting interest in and knowledge of physiotherapy and its applications and;
B. Promoting contacts between its members
The association strives for the following ideals:
- The feeling of togetherness
- Openness and accessibility of membership
- Educational and sociable
- Being inspiring for members
It is important that everyone within Fysiek feels at home and members can decide for themselves to what extent they are involved with the association. In addition, the study association is accessible to non-members. A requirement for this is the low-threshold nature of the activities. Right from the start of the academic year, the association strives to offer a wide range of activities.
Learning and sociability are two words that are linked and can enrich each other. Finally, the association strives to be inspiring for its members. By offering committee and board positions, for example, the competences of organising and entrepreneurship can be developed individually.
